Hotspots Available for Checkout at the Library
WHAT IS A HOTSPOT?
A hotspot is a deck-of-cards sized device that can provide Wi-Fi internet access for up to 10 different Wi-Fi capable devices. Hotspots borrowed from the library offer unlimited data and can provide internet access in any location within the U.S. that has a T-Mobile signal.
HOW DO I CHECK OUT A HOTSPOT?
Hotspots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the library’s front desk. Holds cannot be placed on hotspots. All patrons who check out a hotspot will be required to sign a Springfield Township Library Hotspot Lending Agreement once per calendar year.

- be a Springfield Township resident or a paid non-resident cardholder
- have a valid library card for at least 30 days
- be in good standing with the library (no lost or damaged items and overdue fines must be less than $15)
- be 18 years of age or older. Internet filtering is not provided. Patrons are responsible for all content accessed using the hotspot.
HOW LONG CAN I BORROW A HOTSPOT AND WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN IT LATE?
Hotspots will be checked out for two weeks with no renewals allowed.
Each household may check out up to three hotspots per year with no more than one hotspot per household checked out at any given time.
Hotspots must be returned at the front desk inside Springfield Township Library during library open hours.
Patrons will be charged $5 for hotspots that are returned in the drop box or at another library.
Overdue hotspots will be deactivated within 24 hours after the due date. Patrons will be charged $2 per day for overdue hotspots up to a maximum of $60.
